The Ploprof evokes an instant emotion. Chunky and yet light and very easily wearable. The titanium combo of case, dial and bracelet is a complete package. To top it, Omega has added two extra bracelets of S and L sizes alongside the standard M size fitted . This allows to configure the bracelet for the best fit and furthermore use the micro adjustment in the clasp to make the fit absolutely bespoke. And add to it the strap thrown in as well.
Lume is extremely generous and lights up like a christmas tree.

Had the same reaction when I tried on the very same Ploprof . . .
. . . five years ago.
And I contemplated buying it on the spot - the only hold-up was a lingering uncertainty over the possibility of a Railmaster in the near future. Which, of course, came to pass the following year.
If I could do it all over again, maybe, just maybe, I'd go for the Ploprof and then wait for a manual-winding Rail.

to take the plunge. I feel that Omega seems to produce the ploprofs in very small quantities and this might make them harder to get over time.
In theory, you're right - there's still an opportunity for a titanium Ploprof . . .
. . . but as it happens I'll be going for another Omega instead.

There are choices
Firstly the MSRP for Titanium on Titanium Ploprof is available on Omega website Titanium on titanium
227.90.55.21.99.002 (USD 14k). The price is much higher than the steel version though. Also the Titanium model has the antimagnetic METAS certified coaxial caliber 8912 and a sapphire case back too.
The Rolex Deep Sea Dweller is good for 4000m ( 12,200 ft)
Sinn has a 3000m model as well.
Both have a closed case back.
The limit for SCUBA with plain air is usually considered 130 feet. The world record with a custom gas mixture is a little over 1000 feet.
You would be okay with the Ploprof. ;-) With a hardsuit you can be sure the person on the other end of the tether is watching the clock. Saturation diving which is what the watch is intended for is another story but you would still be okay.

I saw on tv a submariner which exploded by the pressure.
A trained scuba diver can go i guess 800 feet.
I dived many years ago with bottles and the breath machine in a pool, so an easy place to dive.

Atmospheric air is mostly nitrogen and recreational SCUBA tanks are just pressurized air. Below 100 feet nitrogen becomes a serious problem. Research nitrogen narcosis and and "the bends". For deep diving a controlled mixture of pure gases is used, primarily oxygen and helium.
The Ploprof is BY FAR my favorite from the Seamaster line. Just a BEAST 👹 of a watch. Already have a couple in SS which I have not worn in a while due to no accessibility from COVID-19 so maybe I should just pick up a Ti model...
I actually love this orange version and prefer it without the date as well. The transparent case back is a bonus as the SS model had a solid back 👍
