My first Omega. Went with the Speedmaster of course!
After reading Subexplorer’s excellent post comparing the sapphire sandwich and hesalite and trying both on at the boutique, I went with the hesalite. I am very happy with the fit and feel. Could not be happier with this watch!

In fact, this was the first Omega I had ever tried on believe it or not!
Just purchased a GMT from them in May. So impressed with their customer service at
point of sale and also service. They swagged me up without much prodding. The boutique at The Westchester was also very nice until covid killed it. I have to admit it definitely makes it easier to pull the trigger if you are on the fence. Great purchase and welcome to the club.

And we opted to drink sparkling water instead of the bubbly being that I was with my 14 year old! We did get a nice Omega hat though 😂

Same for me, the 2021 Hesalite is my first Omega, and has hardly left my wrist since buying it 3 months ago.

I’ve got two Omega’s i want to collect, the new snoopy anniversary and the aqua terra world timer on a blue rubber strap.
I wanted to buy a Rolex, but i cancel it because you gave good advice. No service and bad treatment.
But this note is tru, i know great dealers who care about customers and sell Rolex. No worry if i buy a Rolex in their shop.
Models on my target: Date just Wimbledon 41mm, Hulk, Explorer 2 polar dial, Date just blue dial 41mm.
But for now, enjoy your new Omega Speedmaster, enjoy the world of Omega.

Yes, indeed a good looking world map.
I looked at a bunch of wt’s, and many have a kind of fantasy world map.
Next to the aq wt, look at a Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum world hour. The world map is good, for example the Caribbean islands are well detailed.
Mostly Europe is a bit rough on not so good detailed wt’s.
The Mexican part under California is a good check up if a dial is well made.
