Actually the opposite. I purchased this ~ 10y ago and at the time it was a more undesirable model being a non professional speedy, auto and not manual and 40mm. It is steel. I like the anthracite sunburst dial and was looking for something with a date. It came in a Cordura strap, when that wore out I got the rubber.
