I clearly remember that summer night in '69 when Apollo XI was returning . . . the American community in Iran, where my Dad was working, threw a party and we all took turns with binoculars and telescopes searching the night sky for our compatriots. The resident British, Canadians, Australians, South Africans, Dutch, and a few locals were at the party, and I don't think I've ever felt the comradeship of the international community as warmly as on that occasion. understood..... it is tough with a camera in hand...

Hi
i know exactly what you mean. When I have "camera in hand" I do not experience the event the same way. That has happened to me at the Omega Museum back in 1997 ( took over 200 photos and 3 hours of video). The same thing happened at the Omegamania cocktail party in NYC. It is hard for me to enjoy the event when I am constantly thinking of the shots.
