i was proud to own,

its actually far better than it looks in the pics.
the watch is a lovely piece but its size is no longer practical for daily wear. its a real collectors cabinet piece.
i own/owned all the omega museum pieces from 2001-2005, but the prices got so ridiculous i stopped buying them. i kept the cosmic and the petrograd, but am liquidating the others.
the new marine is a nice piece, but as a wearer??

in a portfolio for insurance purposes. i do now take my own shots for putting on this site, but this is one of my collection that has gone for liquidation. in fact, i hope the moderators wont mind me saying this, the phone lines in a certain London building will be fizzing in about 1 hours time. by the time you read this i hope it will have gone to a good home for a very good price.
i think you may have already read this Kong on another forum, but i've liquidated over 200 vintage pieces which will in the future need a lot more maintainance than modern pieces in order to buy modern pieces like my coveted freak. its a sad loss, but a sensible one i think.
Omega dont seem to have made a nice compromise. the original is now too small for men to wear, but the new one is huge. not as huge as some pieces, but IMO too big for its purpose as a dress watch. they'll never make a steel one as that just devalues their gold one. i've been dissapointed with the museum collection. the idea is great, but they progressed from affordable pilots watch to very expensive 2006 model. i stopped at the 2005 as i even though i'm an omega fanatic i didnt recognise the 2006 model and didnt want to pay £7k!! the resale market seems very poor, although i understand that there will an Omega museum shop opening in London in near future who will specialise in resale of these pieces. i've only kept the Cosmic and petrograd as i think they are stunning looking watches. the pilots was nice, but its cost and number made make it a daily wearer not a collector. the officers chrono had the worst dial i've ever seen with all the techy tele pulso etc etc markings. the centenary is just a very boring looking piece.
anyway to answer your original Q. no i havent sorry.
