30 T2 CHRONOMETER - Please let me know your thoughts!
Hi fellows, and hello to all the "BILLs" out there! 
I have got a very early 30 T2 chronometer with additional "Turler" retailer´s signature on the
aged dial. The color has changed dramatically from silver to yellow/orange due to the againg of the
laquer over the years. On the spots where the laquer has broken out you can see the original bright silver
tone of the dial.
Maybe the laquer can be removed carefully (on the parts where there is no printing) to improve the
cosmetical appearance of the dial...
Usually I do not touch well aged dials at all because I know that this will lower the "collectible value" and the
price dramatically.
In this case I am tempted to try a partly cleaning...
What do you think? Should I leave it as it is? Clean? Restore?

I like the way the dial aged. That was good purchase. Will you please post images of the caseback and movement .? Depending on the year of production the watch it will have a different style caseback .

It is a chronometre but it might not have a Rg movement.

The watch is a chronometer. But most likely produced before 1943 hense it would not have an Rg movement ( 30t2Rg was introduced in 1943). This is a Pre-Rg 30 mm chronometre.

Yes you are correct - it is an early CK 2254 with OUTER engravings on the back.
The movement is without Rg but has polished teeth of the winding wheels
and the same beveled polished lever (anchre) like the later Rg-movements had!
I know that it was a good purchase as the watch is untouched and totally original.
And I got it for a fair price according to the dial´s condition...
I will try to post some pics in the next few days...
BTW do you know which different dials were used on the 2254 chronometers?
I know this type with the "arc" chronometre writing above the Omega logo.
I have seen 2 other dials where the word chronometre ist written "straight" and
BELOW the word Omega. I suppose that Omega took the dials out of a regular series
and just added the word "chronometre" either in an arc above the logo or straight below
the Omega word. These chronometer references come up so seldom that you can´t tell
what was common and what is correct. Have you got some idea - maybe you know some
more facts about this ... ?

I know that you are curious (as am I) - here come the pics of case back and movement.
You can see the different winding wheels - they have polished teeth!
I am not sure if the balance wheel is authentic - maybe it should have a bimetallic balance
as all the early 30 T2 movements have. Maybe a replacement...
If somebody has a spare one - I would be glad to hear!
