I went " incognito " to the Omega Boutique, near Place Vendome, just to see the ambiance and one or 2 models, too..LOL
I can tell you that I was perfectly and nicely welcome in the Boutique, we were chatting about the Omega Book ,and I even saw a Tourbillon Centrral in platinum.
I was looking ofr the Re Edition of the Pilot Watch ( 1938 ), and the Lady of the Boutique spent half an hour to try to localize one for me..
In Vain...
But she was very helpful, and her attitude was very professionnal, and kind!
I will come back as she invited me to do so, to takev some pics..Of this Bloody Tourbillon Central in platinum...A Terrific piece.
I've spent a little time at the Omega boutique in Beverly Hills, Nicolas . . .

. . . and have tried on six central tourbillons there, including a platinum model with a solid caseback . . . I love them all, but that would be my favorite of the bunch. Cordially, Art
I just got it last week from our esteemed Omega moderator . . .

. . . it's a steel cal 505 chronometer in pretty much original condition, and will not be a safe queen . . . it will be serviced before I start wearing it, though . . . regards, Art

I was asked to come over and give an opinion on whether some watches were worth fixing, by this elderly but very sharp woman.
Instead, I was handed almost a pound of gold jewelry that came from her mother and requested to get rid of it for her. She kept all the fine stuff and big diamonds, but still had dozens of pieces of forgettable, but "recyclable" gold. Then she gave me another small sack filled with watches - a partial compensation for the hard work, she said.
In the sack was this baby. I've only rubbed up the crystal a bit - probably will get it replaced - and I must admit I took off the Spiedel Twist-O-Flex band.
I know nothing about this Speedmaster (front-loading SS case) model but it's a nice size and quite smart-looking!
. . . not too long ago, I stopped for dinner at a café in Sunset Beach, and found myself sitting next to a gentleman wearing an early 60's gold Omega Constellation . . . turns out he had three of them, all purchased back in the 60's. He claimed the watch had never been serviced, and you should have seen the look of disbelief on his face when I told him that he should take it in to a watchmaker . . . his response was that there was no need because it was still running :-( . . . unbelievable but true.
