Greetings,

I have a Schumacher Speedy and several vintage Seamaster's...that said could I enlist some of you to rank the top 3 or 4 Speedy's of all time? I realize this is very subjective BUT maybe you could give just me a sampling? In order of desirabilty, rarity and staying power value wise. Not trying to cause a rucus, just trying to get a general feel since there are so many variations. Thanks in advance!

That is a very subjective question.  I personally collect vintage so this is my take on that....

First up

First generation CK 2915... Speedy from the late 50s....



Powered by the classic Omega 321.... 

Any Speedmaster powered 321 is a excellent pick!


Speedmaster 125  ( in honor of Omega 125th birthday )

First automatic triple register date that was certified chronometer






Early Speedmaster Moonwatch with caliber 861....  This one has the first  version of the " First watch on the Moon..."










There are  many more Speedys that can replace any of the above... ...

Thanks Bill! I wasn't looking for the definitive so you did well...From what I can tell 321's are the ticket and anything older is probably better.....I guess the combo of those two things trumps special editions that are newer....I thought I was ready to move on from Omega! damn......

Speedy Collecting is its own world !!

Others value the limited editions Speedys more then I ... As you stated just about any 321 is the ticket !!

But once you looked into Speedys.... Then you open the door to the vintage Seamaster chronographs !!

my personal favourite modern speedy 

over the years i've owned a 1965 pre pro, mk2, mk3, 1045, lcd, teutonic 861, schumacher 11,111, auto triple date, snoopy and 125, but this is still my favourite. as Bill said to me when i bought it, it shows where the speedy has come from and its transition to where its going (or something like that, but more eloquent).

in 2nd place i'd put the 125, but its failing is its case weight with the 1045 coming 3rd.

if you start on seamasters then the Anakin tungsten cased model is good, very good.
