I have tried them both on. You're right, the one is much larger. It fits my wrist ok- there's just something about the way that model "pops" on my wrist. The Red numbers draw much more attention directly to the watch face. I also tried on the chronograph with the orange/gold bezel, and it's interesting- that model draws your attention to the bezel and bracelet, and actually pulls your attention away from the face. Just one subtle difference and it completely changes how it looks on your wrist.
I am really interested in the co-axial movement. Plus, the watch just looks beautiful. I really like the smaller chronograph too- one of the jewelers I spoke to described it as a "workhorse". Very dependable. However, like jchandlerhall said, I think having the co-axial movement may be worth the difference down the road.
