UK father in law aged 91 has this watch in his bag of bits - he thinks he bought it in circa 1941 - bought by an Italian for him while on leave in South Africa.

 

The watch has a black dial with numerals and a second hand dial. It has a number on the back 10506711.  We think we namay have the original strap on another watch - stainless links with a very simple catch fitting to fix the length.  It is running and we would like to have some advice as to what we should do with the watch - do Omega run a service to check it over?  should we keep it?  Is it WW2? it doesn't have an arrow on the face. I will try to put up some photos another time,  any help appreciated.
