Post here what will be your first/next/last Omega.
Two days back I put an order for the Seamaster 300 Master.
First time that I do this (put an order) but I could not resist this watch.
(Picture from Omega site).
No date (Amanico's disease), ultra modern movement (Co Axial, non-magnetic 15000 Gauss tested, etc.) using a case/dial/hands that brings us to the glorious 60's.
I had a vintage one but the bezel was not original and I prefer modern incarnations of vintage watches (maintenance, etc.).
The Boutique says that it will be here in November.
Hard to wait.
Meanwhile I need to search a strap for it (metal bracelets are a no no for me). Suggestions?

That was the first watch that I tried to get on an auction ...
And I lost by a quid.
Years later I learned that I was competing with a friend that won the watch!
They show up here from time to time, but is hard to get a mint one.

Tropic seems to be an option and ...
It so happens that I have one on my strap inventory. Vintage, of course.
But the Seamaster 300 Master lug width is 20mm and my Tropic is 19mm.
About NATO, I'm not a particular fan of those but I also have some.
Let's wait and see.

19mm is not a big deal, even if it is 20 mm between the lugs.
As for the Nato, it dépends on the Watch. This one is made for Natos!

I know that 1mm is nothing but ...
With my OCD, this 0.50mm gap is unacceptable.

In good shape.
That's the reason that I got the Speedmaster FOIS (First Omega In Space).
Perfect re edition, including case and lug width.
Got a Shell Cordovan strap that is perfect to it.
Need to post some pics, along with a "Strap Addiction" post that I'm planning.

Was lucky to find this one a few years back.....
I only have a few vintage timepieces currently, but this is one I think I'll always have.
Next up for me may be my first modern Omega - the very SM 300 that was the subject of the original post. I think Omega nailed it with this one - just perfect.

How about black/grey sharkskin?
If you find the right color, it adds a touch of novelty and sportiness to the watch you don't get with other leather textures (like salmon!)

Sharkskin is an option ...
I never had one sharkskin strap.
About Omega, just as a cookie advert here, is impossible to not have another.

.....i have a speedy from about 7 years ago.....and 2 months ago I added my second Omega...2914-3. I am now looking for a 2913 lollipop generation but am not having a lot of luck....and am seriously contemplating the same model you have ordered. It was my favourite watch from Basel....and I am very seriously tempted by this modern version of a classic.......
