Spent too much time outside in the sun yesterday, staying in today.
I just watched a YouTube video on hand soap, of all things.
Would you spend $46 on a bottle of hand soap? That's the
retail price of Aesop hand soap. The video was about the premium
soap and it's various scents and the instore experience. It went on to
say how many consumers wouldn't buy it for themselves but are willing
to buy a bottle for a gift. It also talks about how consumers are trading down
for certain products and trading up for others, meaning they will buy generic,
store brands and cheaper versions of some things and will buy some premium
products also. Only you can decide what you will trade down for and what
you are willing to pay up for. I am not opposed to trading down for some things,
yet I need to give thought to trading up. Is the product that much better, is it a better
value for my money, do I really want/need it, the list goes on and on.
$46 hand soap, for you or not??
