For the Ladies of PuristSPro, which do you prefer?

So does she have a preference on brands?  Prada, Jimmy Choo, etc?

Sorry, but my wife with choose neither.  She would instead go to 2 of her regulars thrift stores and find whatever she likes.  She would come home with armloads of goodies, all in (watch terminology - LNIB) mint condition.  Most will be designer fashions someone wore only once to a party, then donated.  It's amazing the high quality/fashion inventories some "thrift" stores carry.

The second and third pair may appeal more to an older woman whereas the first pair of Jimmy Choos are a bit more youthful.

Personally, I wouldn't choose any but if I had to make a choice, I'd choose the first pair.  Hmm...if you are buying a gift for a special someone

then I would go with something that's classic, neutral with a little detail or sparkle perhaps, not too colorful, and can go with almost any outfit.

That's my two cents. 

The first pic is a newly purchased Jimmy Choo from the Rodeo store.  I walked into the Louboutin store at The Palazzo Las Vegas and there were some serious shoppers.  Some were very cool but it was funny seeing some tourist trying to walk around in the really high heels!

Do you have a secret drag life we don't know about?  LOL  , Just kidding.    As for me, I don't have a particular brand preference.  I base my purchases on #1. Look and comfort, #2. Price, #3. Brand.  Certain items that have longevity of use, I believe one should splurge on like a great bag that can be used everyday, jeans, perfect black dress, or a nice jacket.  For other fashion trendy items I subscribe to the "quantity over quality" thought.  Fashion is always changing and things become obsolete pretty quickly.  Also, you get sick of wearing the same things over and over again.  I'd rather buy ten non-name brand things I can wear everyday than one or two high-end ones that I'd probably wear only once or twice.  (especially when you have kids that wipe their oily, cheesy sauce, ice cream covered, hands and mouths all over you)  Or perhaps if you are a smart shopper and know where to go and when to go, you can strike a deal somewhere in the middle.

You summed it up so well, there's not much I can add.  Except that when picking shoes I must have comfort.  It is a bit harder to find sexy shoes that feel good, but it's possible.  Too many times in the past I purchased a pair of shoes thinking they look great but knowing theyy doesn't feel good on my foot.  Inevitably, I never wear those shoes, despite their good looks, b/c they end up being foot eaters.  Across all brands in all price ranges there are those sneaky foot eaters.  Beware look over comfort, I say. 

But, given the choice of the above shoes, I think the top Choo is the prettiest

The top ones are the nicest of  an indifferent bunch, although I will say that I am "older" and I really don't care for the Manolos.

Let me make a comparison.  If these were three watches and you went to the AD to try them on, you would leave without making a purchase.

 

Hello Ginger, so what do you look for when you buy shoes? 

Ming, It is likely that my children are close to the age of the lady in question, so my shoe buying habits are not much use (although I do own a pair of Jimmy Choo).  I asked my LA daughter for advice and she said that LA gets the best of all of the luxury brands at Saks, Barneys, Neimans and you can't go wrong there.   She suggested Diavolina on Robertson if you and the lady want to look at something that none of her friends will have - very fashionable and a bit avant garde.     (I believe it is ok to mention actual shops if we are not talking about watches.)

I don't know if you're buying a pair of shoes for your gf, so I'm just assuming that you are.

One of the rules for guys is, never buy shoes for your woman

Shoe stores are a woman's sanctuary, so don't mess with their shoes.  Plus, no matter which pair we buy, we'll never buy the "right" pair.  LOL
(obviously everything spoken with tongue in cheek)
