Thanks for the news Jerry, I wonder what Lamborghini has in store for it's next exotic?

It remains my dearest project because of all the human experiences i did there in Sant'Agata , all the great people i got to learn and that adopted me as a member of the family.
It also was a faithfull companion during my 5 years divorce process that was helping me cope with those terrible lawyers meetings better than any whiskey.
The Lamborghini was planned with 3000 units over lifecycle so you imagine how proud i am that this car launched on the terribly famous 9/11 survived 6 ( i think) ipod generations.
It will along to all my Sant' Agata family remain deep in my hart

I have always been fascinated with anything four-wheeled and wanted to study them, especially their design.
but unfortunately from where I was, chances are scarce and thus i have a lifetime to admire others' work.

Your work is truly a piece of art, a design that was well beyond its time and will be remembered long after its gone.
it's a great honorfor me to actually acknowledge the designer of The Murcielago even when its through this virtual forum.

1) Production ended mid-year...the delay for the final roll-out is curious.

2) Definitely curious as so whether they'll keep using the Lamborghini V-12....hope they do...and that VW are able to shield them to some extent from the CO2 regulations...

 

Where are TM and Luc when you need them?

from someone whom one would expect to know what he's talking about, the original Lamborghini V-12 (whose lineage and genesis can be traced continuously, mechanically, to the first V-12's shown in 1962-1963) will be laid to rest along with the Murcielago.

What was interesting was that this "source" thought the Murci replacement would still have a V-12, albeit of a new design...

Curiouser and curiouser...

...to see such lineage disappear, but as long as a V-12 lives on... As long as it's not shared too much around the VW group...But economic reality most likely dictates otherwise.

The V-12 went from 3.5litres up to the current 6.5litres....But my question is...the 8.1litre Marine engine, V-12, 60deg...how much did it share?

Thanks for sharing this bit of inside info.  Whatever Lambo will have in store for us with the next gen V-12 I'm sure will be exciting!

The last of the pre big conglomerate engineered car. The next one would undoubtably be more user friendly, more bhp, more torque, more comfortable, more everything.
