you're lucky to do what you love the most so staying late at work shouldn't really be an issue.... I can tell you that in my case not being able to find full-time work for the past two years has been by far the most difficult period of time in my life as I absolutely love my chosen profession. Everyone needs some time to rest, but I really dislike any extended period of downtime. Especially when you are in a creative field, I feed off the constant involvement and surrounding during work (taken of course that it is a positive one). When you love what you do, you do it because you are committed to it with the totality of your being, there's no more pleasurable or important place for you to be while bringing outstanding creative concepts to realization.

And i know that i have the best job in the world but sometimes it is stressing to realise that outside of work i have no life and that i do not have any more time to have friends...play tennis...meet for barbecues...go to the cinema...be there for my kids birthday...but hey i am not complaining, i am just too afraid of the life out there....
we do choose ourselves of course which path we take when opting for either doing an ordinary job which we don't really like but which leaves us with more free time, or something that we genuinely love and know with certainty is going to take the biggest chunk of time out of our lives because of the dedication we put into it. I guess that's when the delicate balance between career and family is most strongly challenged. That's why I don't plan on having kids any time soon, if ever.

About the flashlights:
Where i live people don't flash to warn you for speed traps ... they only flash because they panic and really want to tell you you're driving too fast ... .
Where i live having a beautiful car, not an Audi A8 or so but a cool oldtimer or a Aston or Lambo people would rather push you off the road than taking their hat of ... :-( .. it is very strange that once you cross the border (France) things ease up a lot ... .
Where i live it isn't a car-walhalla :-( .... .
We make the best of it .

I think that style of wheel only made it over here in Golf GTIs - where those three letters are on wheel instead of VW. Or at least that's what was in the car I drove? I am having trouble remembering in my old age...

I was just kidding, Filip... I always say that i would pay to design cars....
