Did you get behind the wheel?

I did get to drive it but the adjustment as opposed to my Clio RS takes a bit of time ... . And one does not want to bend the favorite car of his friend ... .

As you can imagine the Vantage weighs a serious bit more than a 200 hp Clio and my guess is that at the end you'll be a bit faster on the small roads with the RS. The Vantage convertible is actually a grand-tourer ... .
But i would love to own a V12 Vantage, next to the MP4-12C and a Gallardo 560 (or Aventador) my real favorites ... never mind the Ferraris as like the Porsche i'm not really fond of them anymore .. . One of my next reports will be on a 911-997 2S PDK ... i've been told that the ride is amazing .. wait and see ... .

it usually does take a bit of time to adjust yourself to a good seating position in a car like the Vantage (I've driven the 4.7l V8), but as soon as you feel comfortable behind the wheel everything comes into place. I'm sure the V12V is the most thrilling Aston to drive as it combines the highest power output with the compact Vantage package. Only thing for me is that I prefer the design of the DBS because the surfaces are larger and the aesthetic language has more space to develop and flourish in my opinion. This larger size however does make it heavier and less nimble so around a track even the V8V is quicker than the DBS. It doesn't matter to me however because I am not nearly a good enough driver to actually gain from that difference. The same thing applies to Porsche cars which are in most part notably better in the handling department than Astons, but unless you are a pro race driver or a guy who will track the car every month it really has no significance, and crucially the Porches look really lame in my eyes. I just want to enjoy the car to the fullest inside-out and of course, become an even more competent and skilled driver by attending some track-days and advanced driving courses, but at the end of the day 80+% of my driving is restricted to city streets so I'm under no illusion that selecting a car that is even better handling/more powerful than an Aston makes any difference whatsoever.

You are also developing nicely as a rally navigator!

I try to have fun in the best posible way .... but these last years my business hasn't been very good, i don't even go on a proper holiday this year :-( ... .
I do plan some small trips and combine work with pleasure ... for as long as possible ... and after that? Well; i can always sell the house ...

You do know better than me how to compensate or stress.
I have started going on holidays three years ago and it takes me a lot of time to loose bad consciousness about not being at work.
Eeryday, i promise myself i will try going home before 19:00 and everyday i need to use my lightsto find the way home.
Not complaining here just realizing that even if i have toys around i still do not the balls to say : "tomorrow I' ll have a day off"
When they put me a hat on, calling me manager , i thought, now i do not have to justify to my boss.... But i hate to let someone from my team switching off the lights of my design center...

I know the feeling of feeling guilty about not working ... but sometimes i do not care about it one bit ... and you're right i can call myself lucky being able to do it that way ... .
My day usually starts around 7:30 à 8:00 (that's when a crawl out of my bed) ... i start 'working' around 8:30-9:00 ... but than ... yeah ... i loose a lot of time just wandering and talking and driving and phoning and doing all sorts of things that aren't really necessary ... so my 'working' day ends between 17:00 à 20:00 ... but sometimes i pick up the thread around 23:00 for another hour or so ... .

My father once told me his father stopped working when he was 50 ... ... hmmm ... 8 years to go .... who knows ... .
