They fooled me again!
Last year I wrote about the Vivid Festival of Sydney: timeout.watchprosite.com
And I concluded that it was a creative way to fool people to go out on a cold winter's night.
Well guess what? They fooled me again! And this year the event is a lot bigger and more interactive. I've had to go on 3 separate nights just to get the photos I wanted.

And you needed a second look to see that? Actually, part of the display was quite James Bond-esque in type with silhouettes of women dancing around, choreographed to music.

HOT Shots
On a cold winter night. This is an annual event ?
A very vibrant arts scene it seems. Although, the event last year seems more interesting.
Sure got the crowds out despite the cold.
Love your night shots, I always struggle with exposure with night shooting.

The key to night photography is
a tripod and a working knowledge of Lightroom.
This festival has been going for a few years now, but certainly a more noticeable presence in the last couple of years.
Definitely bigger and better this year. I've only shown 3 of the 900+ photos I took over 3 nights at 7 different locations. And tonight one of the lightshows is being choreographed with fireworks too, so I hope I can get a parking spot!
Also more interactive this year. The Harbour Bridge light display is entirely determined by the input of participants at various control points. And at Customs House there is a dance floor. You choose your music, the computer scans you and the entire display is determined by your choice of music and your dance moves.
