Senator Chronometer Strap Options
I recently purchased a Senator Chronometer. Though the watch itself is a first-gen model from 2011, it has a new brown alligator GO strap rather than the older black, curved/fitted strap.

The strap is lovely and well made, but too long for my wrist even on the tightest setting. I could order a short strap from GO, but I was thinking about having a strap made by Camille Fournet instead. The price is comparable (or slightly better) and there are a lot more options available.
I know the lugs are 21mm, but what is the taper to the deployant clasp? I would guess 18mm, but it would be quite a shame to have a strap made-to-order only to find it did not fit.
I have a wrist slightly over 6.5". Would it be wiser to go with CF's standard (75x115) or short (65x105) length? At 42mm, the watch covers most the flat surface of my wrist already, so the straps do not need to be very long. I am mostly concerned about making sure the deployant clasp ends up properly positioned.

I think you might be best off with the small strap
My watch is the same as yours. My wrist is 7 3/8 and the normal strap falls in the middle hole of 7 holes.
I don't think mine is the long strap, as it's the one that came with the watch.

70x105 CF vs 75x105mm GO
The GO "short" strap is reportedly 75x105mm. The CF "ladies" regular size is 70x105mm, which is pretty close, and simpler to order than a custom size.
Clarification
So the choice, for CF, is 75x115mm (MR), 70x105mm (LR), or a custom size (eg, 75x105mm to match GO). I agree, I think the 65x105mm is likely too short.
The watch is ~44mm tall (spring bar to spring bar), for a total of 219mm with the LR strap or 234mm with the MR. My wrist is ~165mm, which gives a remainder 54mm on the LR and 69mm on the MR. Adjusting for strap thickness and the clasp, one might loose as much as 10mm, I would think, leaving 44mm and 59mm respectively. The first hole is usually about 12-13mm from the tip, and they are spaced about 5-6mm apart and 2mm across. Seven holes would run about 50mm long, or ~62mm from the tip. This is all guesstimating, but that makes me think either would be OK, but the LR a bit closer with a range of about ~155mm - 195mm while the MR was a tad long (170 - 210mm).

If those estimates are all correct, the minimum practical size of the standard 82x115mm GO strap is around 177mm. I would believe it, as that would set the minimum wrist just under 7", which is plausible.
That all makes sense, but I think I'll cut a piece of scrap to get my best possible estimate before ordering anything...

Of course, it is rounded to fit the case and the strap has the metal structure to hold it tight. Do you see the empty notches in the case now with the regular brown strap?
Nope.
It seems that even a standard-profile strap fits quite close to the case and basically hides them. If I twist and turn just so I bet I could get a glimpse of them, but for most practical purposes I would say they are not visible.
