Hi Ric,
1/ the power reserve quoted would be based on the watch being at full wind when you take it off. Depending on your level of activity, you may or may not have the watch at it's fully wound state when you take it off for the weekend. Also, the power reserves may vary slightly from what is quoted, but usually not by a lot. As for the watch slowing down (losing time) - when the watch gets near the end of it's reserve the timekeeping can become erratic. It varies from one watch to another but many actually gain due to loss of balance amplitude. You don;t say how much time the watch loses, so I can't say if this is indicative of a problem or not.
2/ Personlly when one of my autos has stopped, I give a decent number of winds manually using the crown - say 40 turns before putting it on my wrist. You can't damage the watch (i.e. break the main spring) by overwinding since the design does not allow for this to happen, although there would be some wear (but not enough to worry about IMO).
3/ I can't see there being any issue with wear and tear on the dial. Certainly adjusting the time and winding requires the use of the crown and keyless works, but provided that everything is properly lubricated this should not be an issue.
Hopes this helps.
Cheers, Al
