Hi there.
I'm about to purchase a PML. Now, I really want the blue-faced version. I have many silver/white dials, so I want something that's striking and stands out. I saw one at a local AD, the blue is quite different depending on the lighting. With the store's halogen light, it almost has a slight purpulish tin. But against unlight, it's a more natural navy blue.
My backup option is always the silver dial of course. But I'd like to hear what blue face owners have to say. Are there times you don't like the blue dial? Anyone regret getting one? Lastly, I really don't like the blue band. The AD said they can order a black strap for me. Any thoughts there?
Many thanks in advance!

Do agree that standard blue strap that came w/ the watch is not exactly fantastic but mate it with a dark blue alligator strap like mine, you should be alright...
Wonderful pic guys. Thank you so much for posting. The more pics I see the better feel I get for the watch. Looking at the two pics posted, you can see there's a huge different in the blue. This is the main concern I have. Do you blue dial owners find it good or annoying/distracting that the blue is so different at different lighting conditions?
I have bracelet and strap for all my watches, depends on the mood. Can you get the GO bracelet in matted? Or at least some part of the link (inner or outer) matted? Bit too shinny for my taste.
I think I'm set on the blue dial... I hope to make an arrangement with the AD that if for some reason it simply does not jive with me, I can trade it back for the silver dial.
Hope to post some pics in a few weeks.
Hi,
This is my first post the Glashuette forum but I have enjoyed reading the posts for a long time.
I enjoy my blue PML very much and GO is one of my favourite brand.
I have had the good fortune of visiting the Glashuette manufactury couple of times.....
.....and visited Basel as well as attended the technical session hosted at the Tempus Singapore event last year.
Kudos to Glashuette for making watch collecting such an interactive experience!
Cheers,
Bhanu
I never get tired of the blue PML; the finish on the watch is excellent. The reason I purchased it in blue was the uniqueness of a blue watch (compared to my other watches). I also like the fact that GO even made the moonphase wheel "blue"; it is attention to those small details that make GO so desirable. As far as the blue band goes, IMO it completes the look of the watch. You could replace it with a black strap, but personally I don't think it will look as nice. With its blue face and band, not only is the watch color coordinated, but it looks distinctive on your wrist when people see a blue band from the distance.
