. . . and thanks for the obligatory trip to Wikipedia to learn about the marble goby! Kudos on the Senator chrono . . . austerity and elegance in equal proportions. Cordially, Art
Hi, I'm just an ordinary Joe. I have a brother who's a watch collector (he goes for Omega time pieces) and a close friend who collects a wide array of time pieces (with no particular theme because he has Oris, IWC, Panerai, TAG Heuer, AP etc.) so I got infected by their enthusiasm. LOL.
I chanced upon this forum, did some further reading on Glashutte Original, was greatly impressed by the heritage, innovativeness and finesse of GO timepieces so decided to own one. I like the fact GO pieces are all understated, elegant and timeless. Something that with some love and care can be passed on to the next generation (not wanting to plagiarize some other brand's motto. LOL).
I am extra careful with the GO, being a weekend watch. I love examining my GO up-close with the complimentary loupe (beautiful too!) each evening before I retire.
There are some smudges on my Senator Chronograph which I didn't notice until examined up-close. Its the last round I'll post images as mine is a humble starters. So far not a scratch on it (phew!):
