The Calendar Week has an incredibly complex movement, and is perhaps the least appreciated complication in the field. Unfortunately, weekly business planning is virtually unknown in America, so consequently there's practically no demand for this unique design here. I've only seen two in dealer showcases, with perhaps a few held amongst the members of this forum.

G O refers to these straps as being made for "integrated lugs". I don't believe G O offers straps that fit to the case of current Navigators. Week Calendar: change to W01
Hi guys!
I'm a lover of watchmaking and GO is a little jewel: last year for a very important I bought a Senator Navigator Perpetual, and I love it (apart it runs too speedy, around 13 sec/day... too much for a watch of this level :-( - now it is in Glashutte Factory, I hope it will came back more precisely!)
I write because... I find the Week Calendar very interesting, but I have a big doubt...
Normally every year is diveded by 52 weeks, and rarely by 53: when, at the end of each year, the Week Calendar changes its indication to "01"?
Does it change to 01 when the W52 is finished, or I must wait the finish of W53?
I don't know when/how this change happens...
Is there anyone who can explane me this point?
I imagine that the big change will happens at the end of the W52, so I can look at the wonderful change from W52 to W01... but in the rare case of a year with 53 weeks? Maybe I'm wrong with my imagination

The Senator Calendar Week has been on my RADAR for sometime now. I like it very much! As well as the concept of expressing time in weeks. Now comes the hard part, Senator Calendar Week or Senator Perpetual?

I have another question: do you know if is it possible to change the original strap of the Senator with another kind of strap, without the "strange" shape between the lugs?
I've wear the Senator Perpetual Calendar at the authorised dealer, but I remember a bad feeling with the original strap: I prefer a lot a "normal shape" strap, like the ones of the Senator Navigator that follow the wrist profile very well...

In effect my Navigator Perpetual has a wonderful strap, without the contour of the shape of the case: I don't like this design and it doesn't feel good in the wrist, too hard because it doesn't bend mild around the wrist (...this is my personal point of view...).
I'm guess if is it possible to remove from the calendar week the original "integrated lugs" strap and use a normal strap without the bend between the lugs... I've looked a metal rib under the strap that is place against the case, between each lug: I don't know if a normal metal pin can fit properly an usual leather strap...

Not only... in Italy (at least north Italy) we use the calendar week for all the foresee, planning and delivery time: this is true in particular for big/medium factories, where you can find very well organized structures. We work with the same concept (week calendar) also with swiss, austrian and slovenian factories...
The GO wek calendar is a great watch! I suppose it's under appreciated because the complexity is not in the complication of the week indication, but in the way it is shown: is very simple to have the same function with a hand, but with the concentric circles is another world... maybe people can't imagine how difficult is the manage of this two digits!!!
I think the usability of the week calendar is probably the same of a rattrapante or an equation of time... or the moonphase: but people probably associate a higher level of mechanic difficult for other " "simple" " complications...
I'll prefer the stainless steel (I love steel in wristwatches, love so much!) and the idea of an artisan strap, for example a cognac color ostrich strap is very intrigant...
