I try not to multiple-post across different sites, but since I asked a few questions on this forum, I thought I'd fill you guys in on my progress.
I was undecided between the new and old versions of the PanoMaticLunar - I felt that with the old version, the silver dial was quite formal, whereas the grey dial XL was a kind of sports/dressy hybrid. The newer version, with the thinner bezel looks a lot more delicate and therefore dressier all round. I like the new dial layout, particularly the thinner indices, but I think I still prefer the thicker bezel of the outgoing version. Long story, short, I went for an XL (partly inpired by Axelzon's pics).
Love the watch. Love the movement even more! I like the fact that although it's dressy, it works very well in casual situations. The strap is lovely - and, as others have said, the claps is a fantastic piece of German engineering as well!

Whilst I was looking into the PML, I also got to handle the PanoInverse. This is pretty much unique AFAIK. If there's anything better than having a dual swan neck to look at behind the watch, then it's having one to look at from the front (Jocke's pics probably helped as well!). I think the old/new debate is easily settled with the PI - the thinner bezel on the new version doesn't have the same balance as the old version. I thus felt it was better to pick up an old version whilst they were still around.

Finally I could not resist the pull of the Seventies. A very different watch to the Pano's but the retro case and beautifully reflective dial is beguiling. I was torn between the grey and blue - the grey is more subtle, and will be a more fleixble everyday wearer, but in the end I could resist the WOW of the blue dial. The bracelet on this model really is superb - it is rock-solid, and the microadjustment on the clasp makes it very comfortable in all conditions.
