What's your thought on the newly introduced 38mm Luminor Due?
Panerai made a breakthrough this year by introducing 38mm Luminor due case size in SS or Rose Gold. Given the choice of colour and straps, I would speculate that they're targeting the women buyers. What's your thought on this?
I could imagine the classic panerai fan would think this is way too small for them but would they consider buying this for their more feminine better half?
Alternatively, any fan out here who's been hesitating from buying a panerai watch due to its size? If so, would 38mm do?
Panerai MUST be 44 mm (at least)
Thickness and weight are the main issues, but since when they've introduced new thin caliber the models are more ergonomic, so IMHO no need of such reduced model.
If Panerai needs to target female customers with a 38 mm case, there's must be something wrong.
If I were a panerista, I'd feel a bit betrayed, because this new model could be seen as a critic to the average Pam size.
What's the next step, a 30 mm quartz for wealthy children?
Contrary to most of you guys I consider the 38mm Version as a beautiful more feminine female watch. 👍🏻

Bit dainty
when women of influence are wearing bigger watches these days. Some PuristS have wives who rock the 44 an 47mm PAMs
Reducing size and thickness is just a shortcut ! Seems the Lab of Ideas is running out of ideas...
Their heritage is also their weakness. Looks like Panerai is so afraid to issue someting new that they stick to the Luminor1950 case (which i love in terms of design).
They want (need) to increase their market share, and the only idea they have is to propose a mini Luminor !!! Well a bit deceiving, imo.
Come on Panerai, show us the "Laboratorio di Idee" has plenty good ones in their hat !

Balance sheet's wise, though, it should give them an opening on the "womanly" women's market (not the..bold enough ones, that would indeed use a 44mm). It will also open a huge gate in the Oriental markets (for men) where wrists tend to be on the smallish size. I'm sure a lot of Oriental "closet Paneristi" will be delighted to finally be able to buy one, slap them on their wrists and not feel like the whole world is looking at their....wrists...and chuckling 
if that is your gift to your spous you`re in for a world of misery .... go Cartier or a like. This is a kid`s watch at best, boy`s i think, and it would look great as a first watch for them
and they are the future customer base for Panerai. Smart thinking OP ! If the Mss is sporty, go full size or Rolex !

I don't know if I'll buy another Panerai in the future, but is good to know that I would actually wear it rather than keep it in the box
