PAM309 - a rare L.E. of 2008....
You won't see too many of these ones. This is because there's only 100 of them around. This titanium model comes with a Vintage Minerva movement which, pretty as it is, needs players to be would and makes so much noise, you could wake a sleeping person in the next room of an apartment 
I've mentioned 100 pieces but, if you look at the back, you can see 00X/150. That's because the 309 has a...glamorous brother: PAM322. With all 50 pieces sporting an exquisite tobacco dial, the 322 takes the cake in the "I want one department". Both models sport a golden ring encircling the dial which gives them an "elegant" connotation but that, together with the rough and tough Minerva, make these timepieces a bit of a Dr Jekyll&Mr Hide affair IMO LOLLL

... I suspect that it not only belongs to the "I want one department" but also must belong to the "out of my reach department" as well.
The dial, case, gold ring on dial and its wonderful movement (no matter the winding effort required) makes for a very desirable piece for Panerai lovers.

it's not that expensive, trust me. If I had known of the existence of the 322 (it was early Panerai days for me and I had no mentor) I would have definetly chased after one of "glamour boys"
Ahh! Good to know !! Yes yes, It was also too early for me and knew very little about Panerai back then. (Not meaning I´m an expert now! Lol!) I wish I could find one and at an affordable...

Golden Ring...
Great piece. Great Movement, Nice case and size, titanium. ...., only the golden Ring doesn't match for me

I have no idea as to why they decided to put the ring there and could easily live without it. LOLLLL
you're right....
But as many other things in Panerai, that we don't like at first glance, but then we get used to it. In this particular case it's a solution that i believe it was not used in any other model, therefore, you have a safe and exclusive value there. These kind of marriages with historical machines, it's like having the best of 2 worlds.
I want one!
Not the biggest fan of Panerai, but this case, dial and movement combination makes me say "I want one!". What a looker and nice to see you have one of the first nine models too
