As we all probably know, Panerai have a rekindled love for the Submersible and the range has been increased further with this new limited edition of 500 pieces. Personally I like it and the “military” colour choice makes sense for Panerai.
I would have preferred it without the word Automatic on the dial, but manufacturers think that we should like it, so its on the dial.
Yes, I feel it is specially interesting if owner plans to wear it scuba diving. Its compact size is better as it is less subject of being entangled I feel. [nt]
I probably won’t rush to buy one, but I like the choice of color (though it’s not the first green Panerai this year)..The price from what I saw is also affordable, another plus👍Cheers. [nt]
playing with colours, who really cares WHAT you are...colouring? You'll always find 500-1000-1500 people in the WORLD that like the colour and will buy the "object" no matter what it is. That being said, I do like the olive green they have chosen for the entire..military line. As you all know, by now, I really don't like Subs...lollllllllll
I agree with you about the green that was chosen. It’s very similar to the shade that is on the PP Aquanaut. Can you elaborate on why you don’t like the Sub ?
in general, show offi-sh. Instruments for mucho-macho men to strut around in at happy hour time. They justified their useful diving instrument label in diving's early age. Since the appearance of the diving computer, they have become...fashionably....redundant IMO of course.
Fashionably redundant since the onset of the smart watch or cell phone. Time, date, chrono, altimeter, barometer, whatsapp oh and of course email on your watch.........
if you had added..expensive..watches, I might have let you get away with it. A smart watch IS a watch, so if you choose a SWATCH costing few "bobs" instead of a smart WATCH it comes down to preference not to one having rendered the other obsolete. I don't walk around with the smartphone in my hands at all time, so if I need to look at the time, I prefer the immediate response of a wrist watch to having to extract the "contraption" from whichever pocket I stuffed it in..etc etc
I my first thought as a Panerai fan is I would not buy a Sub under 44mm, but maybe the smaller diameter helps with a green dial. And 42 is a beautiful size, just different for old schoolers.
