PAM 662 vs 685 vs 721 vs 931
I am considering a 47mm Panerai. My biggest watch is the IWC big pilot that is almost 47mm.. so may be it can work out!

... all comparable, in that they are simple and large.
My favorites are the 662 and 721. The 721 is my favorite design, but it does look very large on the wrist (large dial, smaller bezel). The 662 has great balance and a beautiful, rugged case and crown guard -- but you have to love and want the lighter dial. The 685 has great hands, but I just don't care for the bezel engraving. While I love the Cali dial, in general, I much prefer the 249 over the 931. So 721 and 662 are tied for first, followed by 685, then the 931.

Also tend toward the 721. I thought the integrated lugs case would make it a bit more wearable than the 662 ?

The 721 is a bit more comfortable with its smaller lugs. They’re all very big watches, but the 721 looks the biggest to my eye because the dial is so prominent. That said, it’s quite striking due to its simplicity and blue hands. It’s not big and bold like a Rolex Sea Dweller or DeepSea, but more whimsical.

I’d go for the 731 by a hair over the 662. My experience with my 720 tells me that it fits smaller even though the dial looks larger. It wears smaller for my wrist than the Big Pilot as well. No bad choices though.

At least on my 7.25" wrist, the 721 is slightly more comfortable than the 5002

Love all three but the 721 would be my choice if I had to keep one.

I love the 685 but it's the first to go due to 30m WR. Then the 931 too, I am not of fan of the color combo, unlike the 687.

that is indeed not a great feature for such a watch.
