The sad truth is...
All of these things (relative to my income) are a lot of money, and I simply can’t afford to just collect and collect. Hard decisions have to be made. The first reason I let it go is I am very overweight in Sport pieces. I have a nice no frills RESCO with a black case which I enjoy wearing very much. It’s a little smaller in diameter which as time goes on I’m becoming more fond of.
Second is, its hard to come to grips with the retail of the Panerai is $8100. I was able to roll the money I had from selling my Panerai to pay for my Laine Gelidus 3 (also used). To think they are “worth” the same is mind boggling. Of course I don’t need to explain to anyone here the differences in finish, exclusivity (and in my personal opinion the beauty), etc. of the Laine over the Panerai so the decision was quite obvious for me. Now I (finally) have one dressy watch which isn’t all the way dressy so that suits me well and filled a major hole in my collection.

Believe me Brandon I understand entirely. Family first is always been my mantra. I too am scaling back. By the way I’m very familiar with the Resco brand. They are rugged, well-made and should cover most of your needs.
My taste has significantly changed. I would like to reduce my collection significantly. It has become more of a liability.

even with a big collection you end up wearing just a few of them so having a compact collection is a wise choice.
