What I really appreciate here, is the absence of date at 3 o'clock. The dial gains in purity.
And there are not so many Submersible without date!
With a water resistance of 300 meters, it will be good enough for most of the situations you'll face.

That is a very good looking Panerai and the touch of blue on the crown is just perfect .

When did the blob markers become so large? Too big IMO, and that unfortunately lends a cartoonish look to this one.

Definitely a "maxi dial" but I guess for diving it's handy. Although a LOT of divers have never actually seen the water. lol
My SeaDweller hasn't.
IMO, the other Submersibles are perfectly legible under water. I have dove with them before.
Don't forget about the magnification qualities while diving. You don't need a bigger diameter marker to be functional.

I'm al Lumnior guy as well, but . . .
I recently acquired my first Submersible, the PAM01229, and am quite enjoying it. Love the blue details on the dial, which can be picked up easily by selecting some great aftermarket straps (so far, I've gotten an antique gray leather strap with blue stitching, and a blue sailcloth strap, both of which bring out the blue details on the dial).
