The "clean" bezel and T-swiss made-T dial of the C
are the same as the A and B models. It's also the last 24 with a clean bezel. The 24D has a graded one. 
I donāt think they have ever introduced a no-date Submersible, which is unfortunate.
I donāt know the history of Paneraiās decision to introduce a Submersible line, but I always thought it interesting since Panerais are fundamentally dive watches to begin with. Iām assuming the decision came with their entry into the commercial / civilian watch market.

I like that it has no date, and the combination of stick and blob markers is great to my eyes.
Well, the 5218 is still more desirable, in my opinion. But it is a path in the good direction...

I think it's already reached excellence just as it is!
(I'm also a fan of the brushed bezel that came in later.)
The cyclops makes it
Without that it would just be an unnecessary date window messing up a simplistic Panerai dial. But the weird under-crystal cyclops ends up adding to the weird textured look of the watch in a way I'm enjoying. I think what I like about this actually comes across in your photos way better than in any of mine!
