Radiomir Independent in white gold sold from a recent auction for an amount in excess of the 2003 list price. In my opinion this is great justice to a piece with very interesting and rare complication. Obviously given the 42mm case size it might have fallen out of love for big watch lovers. For me this is one of the great complication that's hardly seen from other brands, let alone Panerai. The chezard movement viewed thru the magnifier on the caseback crystal is a truely remarkable.
The PAM65 is the only Panerai, so far, which has the Big Date feature. Hopefully with Panerai climbing up the Horological Ladder, all the 40mm and 42mm Limited Edition Radiomirs that were produced during years 1999-2003 with vintage and other interesting movements will slowly become recognized as collectibles!
Cheers,
Anthony

The current Mrs MTF tells me that a pinion is:
usually the smallest gear in a gear drive train.
OR
a smaller gear that drives in a 90-degree angle towards a crown gear in a differential drive.
I think she reads books

MTF
PS. If the drive train only has 1 wheel, is that ....er..."pinion" also the "drive gear"?
