In the line of Radiomir complication is the 42mm Radiomir, sapphire crystal display back with GMT and alarm functions.
The movement used in the 98 is the Girard-Perregaux calibre 59. The GMT indication is at 6 and the date at 3 - it was not granted an "OP" designation.

The 98 is one of best Rads Panerai ever made, it certainly should have received more appreciation!

My better half. Hence the green strap which really
works well with the accents on the numerals.
It just shows what Panerai is capable of regardless of the movement being
complicated, ETA base or in-house.
Italian design sensibility and crack brand building wins every time.
Thanks for looking.
Bill
Your strap and colour selection goes very well with the 98. The coloured gators from OP are one of the best,, IMO..
Thanks Bill.
Cheers
I have always associated that problem with the size......
my wife is the proud owner of my WG PAM 062, which I remember was considered a BIG 40mm watch some years ago .... I had to go through Rads at 42mm (PAM065 Platinum) and 44/45mm (PAMs 163 and 190) to conclude - all too small.
That's why I was all over the two 47mm Rads, but now, after owning both I confess it's not the size. I just don't like Rads....
Still, not letting go of these two though
Cheers,
Asi
However, I never have one. But it makes me adore RAD design, finally, I have got 231, 232, and 190 in my collection. And I'm looking for 249 and 292 to complete my set.
Nice pics & very good combos
Bill! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the photo essay. It's nice. I must confess that it's the GP movement that drew me to this watch. No problem with 42mm for me as I've got a small wrist. I love radiomir. I didn't at first but it grew on me. The double "big pilot" style crown on the PAM98 was the other attraction of this watch. It's just so retro. Here's mine saying "hi."
Bill,
I dint know that PAM 98 is using cal.59 from GP.This is new to me!Thanks.
I owned 45mm Rad case and seems to fit me well.I use to wear Luminor with jeans often and Rad in formal attire. They simply look great.
Just my own opinion,PAM98 in 42mm is slightly small would deginately grab one if they make it in 45mm.Bill,your matching with the green strap really make the hell out of the PAM98.
thanks for sharing,my friend!

That strap isn't yours is it? I can't picture you wearing a green strap. Must be the Mrs.'s?
Cheers,
Anthony
The missus is the pround owner, hence the strap selection. For women, I think, the OEM straps offer a great way to take the edge off a first Panerai. An you all know how they love shoes. The strap gives them the flexibilty to dress down the size. Once they have worn 40mm+ for a while the size is no longer the issue and they can move to any color strap not just the bright ones.
Bill
the green strap gives it a completely different look..!! Very surprising....and surprising it looks so good in green..!! You'll make sure i get a PAM one day I'm sure.
Take care,
Andy.
as I think the Sinn U1 is a better fit for me than the Luminor.....and your pics don't help much looking so gorgeous and sexy..!!! But I have to have a JLC Polaris first..!!!....and maybe a U1 if the wait is too long :o)
Andy.
What a combo!
I'm a RAD lover as I think I can wear RAD in both sport and dress look.
Thanks for sharing.
Bill, that is really a nice combo. I'm thinking that I might need to get myself one of those green gators for my new Rad : )
Thanks for showing it to us,
Shari
