hi folks,
These are comparison of both Radiomir Black seal against 8 days, which one would you go with??or anyone have both???for those have two, please share your thoughts?
BHK9
are sold so they are only available through secondary routes..?? Or might you find a small dealer with one left new..??
Andy.
The 190 seemed to be a bit of an all rounder with a big following so whay stop it unless something else is there to fill the void.? There is the 268 but it has the date and funny power reserve indicator.
Your always helpful Nicolas - you know that...

This message has been edited by Andy on 2008-01-13 08:48:31A couple of brief points. The 190 for me hands down is a much better ride. Gold hands, incredible movement, well designed Panerai dial. I would have bought the Black Seal only if I didn't have the money for the 190. Wait , I didn't have the money anyway and still bought it.
I don't want to be negative, but like Nicolas I really don't like the new in-house movement's power reserve indicator, (this from a man who has the 27..biased). I would have preferred a thermometer indicator of changing color from something like white to black before a pointer reserve indicator. But most importantly, I would have wanted power reserve complication was added to the stable of Panerai watches in the future and not so early on in the introduction of the in-house movements even though Angelo built the movement with everything in mind 1st. I'm sure Panerai has reasons for introducing the 233, 268, etc with the whole enchilada and not just complication pieces. Clean simple and visible dials.....that is what most attracts me to Panerai. It's great that Panerai built in-house movements, but don't put all the complications (not the whole kit and kaboodle) in one watch.
Buy the 190 if you can, just my opinion. Just ranting here.

I have to say it does tick all the boxes and I see there are a few on the For Sale board so they wouldn't be too hard to get, plus seeing the ~price it isn't too far out there either..!!
Thanks for the info.
Andy.
If you have the extra funds to purchase the PAM190 8 days, then I'd definitely get that one over the Black Seal. Black Seal is a good watch too and great for anyone who wants a 1st Radiomir but the gold hands and JLC movement in the PAM190 is well worth the extra bucks IMO.
Cheers,
Anthony
the PAM 190 might be easier to come by then most ADs realize, I have always believed in the legend "ask and shall recieve"..
maybe I will ask around this week. If one falls in your lap do share.
Hi ,
I am lucky enough to have a 190. Mine is on the vintage brown alligator OEM strap, and every time I wear it it just brings a smile. Fantastic movement and execution without going to big (232 and 249 anyone?) Probably cheaper to buy than a 249 at the moment with all the madness surrounding that watch. it would be a watch that I would find almost impossible to replace if I was silly enough at any point to sell it (hopefully never, but there you go). One or two are definitely still about in AD's in the UK, don't know about anywhere else,
All the best
Tim
but I take the 190-JLC movement. Real nice on both dial and caseback. It worths every single cent.
Cheers
