Every 24hrs, I'll wind my 217 & 219.
It'll take about 40 turns to fully wind it if I wind em both every 24hrs.
I don't like to wind every 2 days / 56hrs / let the watch totally stopped as I find it a hastle to adjust the minutes hand correctly as PAM do not have minute marker on most of their models.
Every night, when I religiously made the windings, I slow down my turn once I reach 33 turns & will turn slowly till it tightens up.
I hope that by doing this careful & slow turn before it hit full lock, the gears will last longer against wear & tear.
Just my 2 cents. I'm sure there're purist who will totally disagree with my regime.
I know many manual watch owner who will stop say 3-7 turns before the estimated full wind to prevent full locking.
But, I realized, if do this, I'll not get 56hrs of full reserve, & if I conitnue to do this for few weeks as I'll only end up with <20hrs of reserve.
There're also another group of extreme purists who'll not even wind their watch or seldom wind. They tend to wind it only once every few weeks or never at all.
For me, if I want to buy a watch to just oggle at it with non-coated non-powdered latex glove, I may as well dun buy it.
Have a nice weekend & week ahead. Cheers
