Just picked up these two pieces and confused whether to get the 127 or 233?

I'd personally get the PAM127 first cause you can always get a PAM233.  Prices on the 127 just seem to be going through the roof so I'd get a 127 first, if money is no issue.  Whether or not I think the 127 is worth the price in the secondary market is another story though :P  Otherwise, you can't go wrong with the 233 either. 

Your 3rd Panerai (assuming the 232 and 249 are your 1st and 2nd PAMs) should be a Luminor IMO

as each one has a feature the other is lacking: Plexiglas, solid caseback, off-white luminova.

To be patient, because if Panerai launches at the next SIHH a Luminor Base 47mm, this should be the watch to get...
And if you realy want the 127, wait a bit, the price is R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S.L.Y HIGH...
If there's smoething like I hope the price of the 127 will go down, and if' it's not the case, go on the new one, if and only if it's appealing...

PS: The 4th one coild be the 217, nice destro i_n 47mm, but if I had to choose between a 127 and a 217 ( I had them both), I'd go on a 127...

I have a Pam 25 and 88. I have a lot of high end Lange, Patek, but wanted to get a younger collection going. I loved the look of these retro Radiomirs' but could not decide on which one I liked more. Since I have always treated watch collecting as a forced savings I decided to buy both. They are just beautiful pieces to look at. I have been looking at the 127 but don't think 25K is a good entry point. I hope something maybe coming down the pipe that is comparable in a retro look. Even my AD source advised me not to pay that kind of price for the 127.

I love them both.

Regarding you choices, I would suggest you to get the 127 (first)...mainly because of its unique character and its rarity.

But I personally do love to get the 217 "Marina Militare", the 217 always get my passion.

by a lonnnnnnng shot. I think it has to do with fact that no one knows what it is. They look at it and ask where I got it. Then the next question is how much.... one person after being given the answer looked at me and said " come on seriously, how much is the watch". I think it is also the strap I have put on it. It feels like something out of the 30's. I have a new strap coming for the 232, so that should change the lack of wrist time its' getting.

Then again, probably, these 2 pieces maybe even rarer..
