Well I jumped into the Panerai fire and purchased Pam 190 radiomir, 8 day. I am looking to acquire my first luminor and am willing to spend from 4500 to 10,000. Would love all you experts opionion.

That's one of my 4 targets! As for the Luminor, I'm no expert like Nicholas or Asi, but what I can tell you though, look through the catalogues and references, see which ones you like most and narrow them down. For me, a first luminor will most likely be the 000 or 005 logos. There's also the 111 and 112, 176 and 177 (both titanium casing). Think you can start on those. Boils down to what you like most in a luminor and which talks to you!

You have a decent budget to go on some very interesting Luminor...
The nicest choice will be to consider a Tritum dial, like the Pam 1 or 2...with 10 K USD, you're at the limit, so you'll have to hunt it, and to negociate for it, but it is possible...
I suspect that the little sonds are important for you, and that's why you went on the 190, so it will be a Pam 1...
If I'm wrong, go on a Pam 2, this is a killer piece!
And you'll add a piece with a strong character and with the soul only the tritium gives to watches...

As for the Pam 26, don't know...
There were quite a lot Pam 26 in the beginning of the existence of Panerai Vendome, so a new bunch of 1000 ( Am I right about the number?) won't make this watch rare...

You have such a great taste..

Regarding you luminor dilemma..there are so many interesting pieces to have. I actually want to recommend some T-dial models or PVD models, but prices of them are going so high. Well, why don't you consider a 219-destro or 26(new K-series, limited edition to 100 pieces). The reason is both of them are only 2 destro models that still in production..

Just my .02 satangs.

Will be a LE of 1000 Pieces, not 100, AFAIK.
