All we hear on TV in the US is "change " with the presidential race on, so I figured we might as well have a "change " thread here.
If you were CEO of Panerai, what change(s) would you make?
Changes could be the watches, product line, straps, buckles, location of Boutiques, etc. You name it, you can "change" it since you're CEO now.
We should get some interesting answers, and looking forward to reading your "changes" as you make your mark on Panerai !
Cheers,
Anthony
so at least we see some watches in the display and get a decent allocation so we dont have to resort to dealing with grey dealers ?
George
I don't see why not as Singapore is watch central capital of the world IMO.
Cheers,
Anthony
At least give back the 'PIG' on 292.
By the way, really love to have those tritium spare parts as well.
Just my freshy .000000002 CEO's thought
Cheers
PS really want to see other purists' point of views are....
1. reduce the number of model
2. produce a slightly more due to #1 to maintain revenue/profit growth
3. open up more boutiques and accept unlimited wait list and in case the particular model sold out the wait can be continue to the next prefered model
4. SE base on region for Purist, so everyone will get one and each region is unique
Hope you all will vote me as the next "CEO" (chief entertain officer) LOL.....
Asi B...LMAO
Seriously, I would make a lot of things:
1st, I'd study the Story of the Brand, and wouldn't say that Panerai only made 300 watches from 1936 till 1997, as Panerai made aound 1500 Vintage watches, and more than 800 Pre Vendome watches.
2d, learning the story of the brand, I'd re edit all the marvellous Vintage watches, as it was done for the 127, and the Cali + 232...
Id go further, launching a 47mm Luminor Base,, and a Destro Version, + The fabulous Small Egitiano, + a replica of the Big Egitiano, but in 47mm instead of the original 60mm, I'd not forget a re edition of the Mare Nostrum .
In this direction, I'd re edit all the Compass ( done with the 191,but also Torches and Depth Meter )...
3rd, I'd have a very strict politic about the LE....I'd promise to not do some OOR re edition of watches I presented like an unique edition of XXX pieces...
Again, I'd choose for a very small LE batch of watches, the rule " First on the list, First served "...To avoid the mess like it was the case for the 203.
4th, I'd develop a horlogical department and watches, with some nice complications or / and in house movements, which
I'd integrate in a new case, and not in historical and military cases...Which is pure non sense.
5th, I'd have a lot of care about restoring watches of the past, of MY past, and will have a stock of tritium parts to not destroy what makes my past very rich, passionate and interesting.
And for the end, I'd create a Purist LE, to thank this web site that makes a lot for the brand...
Here's my programm...100% sincere, non OOR, and passionate.
LOL
Best.
Nicolas

strongly recommend, for the day after your one day Panerai CEO position, Asi B., Anthony T. and you, Nicolas F. as Panerai Experts to insure History and roots and PASSION +++.
Best for you all 3.
I hope to have pleasure to meet all of you. World is small as Nicolas mentionned in Austria, last WE.
Cheers,
Patrickh
you would give a boot to certain AB first Nicolas LMAO
Best
PuristsPro Special Edition would be a great follow up piece to the PuristsPro/St. Gallen.
flippers getting them just to sell for profit so real collectors can get hold of them....grrrrr..
Then just make Nicolas CEO as he would basically turn Panerai around while keeping the history and roots of the brand grounded..!!
Andy.
cause it doesn't make business sense to do #1. And #2, that would happen in an ideal world but with today's politics and business relationships, that wouldn't happen IMO.
Cheers,
Anthony

I don't know much about the history of the brand. From my very limited knowledged, I would say to get the original owners or family involved in order to give it the full heritage back. Also, to make the watches only with their in-house movements only.
Hugo.
super luminova to that of the aged tritium on both painted and sandwiched dials...
Cheers,
so hopefully maybe Panerai can make some more models with the same colored luminova?
Only thing though, is colored luminova doesn't glow as bright as plain luminova so u lose some luminosity when u mix in colors.
Cheers,
Anthony
I totally agree...Some nice re editions of Vintage models SHOULD be re edited with this colored luminova...
Best.
