Last week, I got an email from a great Panerai enthusiast who planned to stop by during his trip in Asia and wanted to meet and share his passion with ThaiPaneristis. I knew this must be another great chance for getting together and this must also be a great surprise to my fellow TPs to meet the guy.
Our moment came on last Saturday evening at one small steak house in the middle of the town. It’s quite hard to express how great this evening was, so I’ll let the pics speak……
Starting with the people….Rotag and Meng_105 showing his beloved PAM, observing by Aunpam and his better half. You will also notice our 2nd generation in between talking about this weird group of people…
L-R: Our special guest (I’m sure most of you can notice who he is), Pochitama, Lynk999, San, Dukfiff. Aunpam and his wife with their joyful laugh…
L_R: san, dukfiff, Chronos, and Tum who travelled from Japan and just in time for GTG…
Chronos with his lovely family…
Our special guest for this evening…Eng Tay..with Lynk999 and dukfiff along his sides…
Eng…sharing his Panerai knowledges to all the freshy.
Avanti trying the Hubolt on his wrist, stuning huh???
Now, the watches….
The Compass the Eng brought along. This is so HUGE but fitted unbelievably well on rotag’s wrist!!
Two 249s together??? I don’t think so my friends. The one on the right is the 249….just the grandson who sit besides his 70 years old grandfather 3646.
The case, comparison between 3646 (above) and 249 (below)…
249…
3646…
The Crown…very unique with ‘Brevet’ engraved…..
The Rolex movement and the engrave inside its caseback…
3 amigos altogether….
The obligatory Table Shots…
Thanks for looking and hope you guys enjoy.
Cheers
Thanks a lot, my friend, to share with us this great moment you lived in BKK!
Eng Tay is one of the great guys, indeed, and his collection is amazing!
Very nice pieces, here, besides the 3646 Cali and not Cali, and this Vintage Compass.
There is also a nice Mare Pre V, a 26, and a lovely Pam 24 with a smooth bezel, my favourite Sub with the Bomba.
So,now, the question that kills:
Now that you've seen in the flesh this old stuff, are you shivering, and re thinking your collection? LOL
Best, my friend.
Nicolas
..'Nicolas' shivering' after experiencing those vintages that Eng brought along. I told him about your unexpectable meet with Ralf and that Small Egi....Eng told me that he also got one in his collection and it's now turning ORANGE!!
Unbelievable discussion with this GREAT guy.
Cheers
from one Eng to the other, it looks like a lot of passion was in the air!
Cheers,
Asi
Eng also mentioned about your friendship. Not only the great artist, but also great Panerai enthusiast.
Cheers

My friend got it last year from Japan. He was such a lucky guy to own this piece. However, the grandfather of PAM006 is the 301/A...Nicolas knows how great when you own one...
Cheers
Sharing is an inevitable. I always enjoy sharing our great moment with the community and always nice to know that you all love the post.

Looks like all of you had a very good evening, with a lot of beautifull pieces.
