I have never really been very crazy about the 249.
But your pix are quickly changing my mind!
Well done, my friend!!
D-Rock
The Cali is the only one without any writing on the dial, which is an excellent thing.
I'm not into pocket watches, but I wan't into clocks, and it is changing...LOL
Thanks for the nice words, Ivan!
Are you from the Adriatic???
Best.
Nicolas
BTW, let Yavez know the watch I should never have sold is coming back to the roost finally after a hiatus of 5 long years and constant badgering
Gotten a nice suntan sitting in the guy's safe all that time, don't you think
now
You get a very special 127, my friend!
Your collection is not great, but giant, my friend.
A pity you sold your Cali, it had a very special number and a nice stroy, as it was the very first to be launched, if I remember well...
I will tell to Yavez, of course!
Take care, my friend.
Nicolas
fed up with the bureaucracy something has to give (249), even if it means going back to your PreV roots, which I am only too happy to go back to. I am working on the guy for the 127 ( not mine.........yet) The important one for me is getting back old number 26 MM
We all know that when you work on someone, there a big chances you get what you want, at the end! LOL
As for Pre Vs...You know my point of view..These are, with ALL the Vintage and a few Vendome pieces, the watches I'm in love with!
Best, Old School Guy!
Nico
I would have to see one in person to see how the gold hands contrast with the black PVD though. I'm a little iffy on that combo right now but would have to see one in person before making my final judgement.
Cheers,
Anthony
I know you and all your watches did have a great holiday in Italy. I also found that the Cali is hard to capture by any lens, only the human eyes can find the real beauty of the watch.
By the way, very nice strap and interesting buckle...can you share some more details? (PM might be appreciated and not against the forum rule)
Cheers
But after more than a thousand pics taken on this watch, I begin to understand how to do...
As for the strap, there is no problem with our forum rules, as it is a proto made in less than, 10 pieces, and the brand which made them doesn't exist anymore...
Same for the buckle GPF Style.
I think that this thin strap is the best for this watch, and the combo rules!
A real Vintage look.
Best, my friend.
Nicolas
The thin strap is exactly what I want for my Cali.
Thanks for info.
Cheers
PS.....more than thousand pics have been taken!!! Hey, I need to take more snap shots of the cali. I think it will take more than 3 months for me to get the right shot(s).. LoL
Gotta go and start my 1st shot of the Cali....only 999 pics to go.
Cheers
welcome back from "long" lovely holiday, now am wondering what is your true profession, photographer cum horologic writer or else ....LOL
fantastic pictures, your 249 pictures prettier than the metal ha....
