If you had to decide between the 26 and the 317, which would you select and why?

The 317 is a stunning watch, stunning movement, black 1950 case and  more of a daily wearer.

I had high expectations for the 26 but when i got mine was a bit dissapointed.

For me I would go, pick or stick with that PAM 26. It does not have all the functionalities I would treasure, 8 Days & GMT but its design is not compromised and remains 'traditional'.

What disturbs me about Pam 317 is that pusher at 8 o'clock, otherwise in terms of functionalities and look it is no doubt a beast which I would choose to live without for that very reason before mentioned.

The pusher at 8 is far better than pusher at 2 or 4 while sticking out from the crown protector. Looks like they've learned their lessons with the new in house 8 day rattrapante the two pushers at 8 & 10 looks a lot more balanced.

Obviously for the monopusher chronograph, the ultimate design should have been a co-axial push button on top of the crown on a Radiomir Design. That would have been absolutely awesome.

The reason being is it makes it easier to use the chronograph feature because then you can then activate the pusher with your thumb. 

Montblanc has its monopusher chronograph button at 8 o'clock in its Nicolas Rieussec monopusher as well.

The PVD traitment is pure killing, the metal have amazing reflects, so the watch is in pure spirit of pré-V and first Vendome.

The 26 suxx only cause Angelo don't respect the numerotation. But she beautiful.

The 317, have 2 big esthetical matters, she's too thick, and the Panerai ceramic look like cheaper plastic, like the Casio watch, i'am very despite by the Panerai Ceramic because IWC make great Ceramic (but sucking watchs since 3  years), the IWC Ceramic is heavy, mat, powerfull, the Panerai Ceramic looking fragile, too bright and too fragile...

If you want the P.2004, take better the PAM311 in titanium, she's the best Maniffatura P.200X (I don't talking about of the Marvelous Egiziano of course   )

So my choice is PAM311 for the P.2004 and PAM26 for the black metal.

Okay no hesitation I'd take both.

Jokes aside I ordered the 317 so no point in having second thoughs anymore.

I like the black look and I think that the monopusher is a great innovation.  I'm sure that it will just look great with a white shirt on the weekend.

It depends, in your case (292, 26 and others), it's a totally different watch from what you own. Ceramic 1950 case, monopusher chrono movement, beautiful strap, different and nice dial.  I think both watches are not in the same league, the 26 is just a "simple" watch and the 317 is by far more than a "simple" watch.

Just my opinion.
