
Thanks for the photos! I think the 2nd photo says it all. Visually, for me, it sums up everything I find attractive about Panerai -- a clean, highly legible dial, a case with a substantial, solid presence, and some distinctive but functional flair in the form of the signature crownguard.
It was also a treat to see the vintage depthmeter and compass, but honestly I can't even imagine the beefiest of fellows sporting those tools on their wrists and not looking a bit, well, odd. Maybe that's my own short-sightedness!
