Just some questions

what do you think about it ? A must have and I would wear it ? Can't wear it but I need it for my collection ;-)

I like it, in fact I love the looks but what the hell should I do with a 60mm watch ? Including lugs it must probably be 7.5 cm. Is this a waste of money ? Spending a lot of money on a watch you'll only wear on Halloween ?

And what about the availibilty ? is this really as hard to get as a 203 ? When I hear that ALL those watches were sold out within 1 hour at Basel 2009, I'm affraid this is too hard to get. Did some people on this forum order one ? And what did the AD tell you ... 'sure, no problem' or something like 'yeah right, the Egiziano ... you're number 10 on the list and I will only get one'

Even if I could afford it, I wouldn't know what to do with this watch. Like said I don't think you can wear it on daily basis and I might regret it putting so much money in a watch I woould almost never wear. Is 'knowing' that you have one enough for you ?

even if you think it would be to big, once you wear it andget used to it (a bit) you would have a problem going back to your smaller watches i think. A 45 mm watch would look like a 70ies dresswatch (in your eyes).

And if your wrist is too small, you can always buy a diver-suit

Things are simple: You have an Hard Core 47 mm Panerai Collection, and you must have it, with the Pam 191 ( Compass ).

If you don't , then pass on it, as it is unwearable, truely unwearable for the common mortal.

It is very nice but unless I have a serious 47 mm collection, I don't spend 19 000 Euros on a watch I won't be able to wear.

Wearing a watch is the mininum I require from a watch.



Aaah, if you want to dive with it, forget it, too, as its Water Resistance is 30 meters...From the beach.

with Nicolas- I think the first criteria is if you are going to wear your watch and enjoy it- on the other hand you could also enjoy it if you place it on your desk and look at it.
But if you intent to put it in a safe I would advise against it

If you're fine with buying a watch you can't wear, then get it.  I guess it's like buying a painting and sticking it on the wall.  You can enjoy it everyday, but you can't wear the painting on your wrist.  Use the PAM341 as your desk clock   If you can't wear it, at least u'll see it everyday on your desk.

Regarding availability, I'd put your name on the waitlist at the Boutiques if you decide to get one.

okay, everybody seems to agree that 60mm is 'unwearable',  unless....... some trendsetting people will be wearing it, over their shirts, jackets, etc..... once whe gonna see some examples I think the step to wear it yourself will be smaller, of course it's not your daily beater, but at least we could find some occasions to put it on, and it would be regrettable to leave such a great watch just sitting around in a vault or in a box instead of enjoying it on your wrist.....my guess is it will be more wearable than we think because most us did never tried one on or even got one to see in real.....

Have to say i'v loved BIg and heavy ever since i was young.

So when OP decided to do a 60mm, it was heaven for me!

As a genuine Paneristi, I would get it, yes I am getting one.

I would wear it, don't care what others say, or even their stares, actually the better.

And I would spend that amount on it, because I already that amount sitting in my bank waiting for the DAMN WATCH TO ARRIVE SO I CAN PAY FOR IT!

You have to have a wrist like Sly to wear the 341.

Yes the 341 is large, but it is wearable. Being afraid of what other people think about the size of the 341 is the MAIN problem about this watch. For what it worth, if Panerai had made this watch smaller, everyone would be screaming about it not being historically accurate. I have one on order, and I will wear it a great deal of the time. I could never go back to a 33 or 38 MM watch!

Hello,

For something like 80+% percent of most 47mm and 48mm wearers, this watch will be
unfeasible / unwearable for an everday wearer.
Unless you do indeed have a 9" to 10" wrist it will be a push for sure.

It is way over 60mm to the outside of the bridge(more like 64mm).
The lugs will hang out in open airspace and create a huge gap between the wrist
and strap.

Again, It will be pushing the envelope for most to wear it. Don't get me wrong its a very very nice
Panerai and certainly very collectable.
So to sum it up. Unless your wrist is as wide as a pool tile I would have second thoughts.
(On a personal note I do have 9' to 10" wrists so maybe it might work?? I
will have to wait and try it on)

The truth is that a friend of mine ordered one 1 week after end of SIHH at a famous AD in Paris....and nobody was on list.
One of the AD's where I use to get some Pannies from, was surprised that I didn't call him to order it, and asked me if I would like get one.....3 weeks after end of SIHH....
Today, I'm not sure there are still a lot of 341 "available" around the world, but be sure that if you want to get one, you will and without paying extra price!
I think that a lot of people that ordered the 341 without seeing it, won't buy it when seeing how large it is on their wrist....
Just my 2 cts.
