about 50 turns on JLC.  JLC movement is far superior.  NO questions there

I just fully wound my 233 and yes it was actually 200 turns.

I also know it lasts more than 8 days closer 9+.

Will check and get back to you on the jlc 8 days movement.

I seem to have a completely different experience with my 233 and I am sure it is probably because we all wind our watches a bit differently in terms of full turns, half turns, etc. Anyway, the last two times I wound my PAM 233, my results were as follows:

1. 101 winds and exactly 10 days. I mean virtually exactly ten days to the minute. +11 sec over ten days
2. 116 winds and approximately 10 days 9 hours. +26 sec over the 10 days 7 hours

Additionally, my power reserve after 8 days reaches the end and I get an extra two days. My watch is running down again, so I will track this again and see what the results for the third time are.

The comparison of the 233 and the 190 wound by me one after the other so the number or turns can easily vary from one user to the other but in my case same person yeilding a result that was easily double the turns regardless of whether it was 100 full proper turns or my baby finger 200 turns.

So I do not dispute your numbers in any way just using my example of winding the two watches one after the other.

that completely makes sense. I actually just called my brother who has a 233 as well. He said he usually winds his 233 approximately 180 or so times. So, I guess it really is nearer your results. I am curious now, I can't wait until this runs down in the next couple of days to give it another shot.

I was closer to 80-90 turns than it was to 60 turns.   It was a bit hard to judge either as I used the visual indicator rather than wind the watch the the crown came loose in my hand so this can account for some of the deviation.   Both wound by me at the same pace.

So I guess turns as defined by me may be different that turns as defined by others but in any case I wound then both at the same rate.

Now I would not draw any conclusions from this exercise as to the quality of either movement.  The extra day or two you get out of the pam 233 puts it closer to a 10 day movement. 

I can say that winding the 190 and the silence of the movement is a real pleasure.

I alos happy with the JLC Master 8 days so with a few minutes of winding I am set ffor the whole month LOL.

I own a 190. Because of the slipping flange ("bride glissante" in french) of the JLC 877 caliber, you can endless wind the watch. That's why the power reserve indicator at the back is very helpful to know whether the watch is fully winded or not.

I wanted to know if the P2002 caliber also has such a slipping flange or just blocks when fully winded. Because it could be difficult to know when the watch is fully winded without a power reserve indicator.

When you manually wind the watch, does the crown stop when fully wound?  (this is what I would guess)

Or can you keep winding it like the JLC 877 caliber domingo states in the above post?

as MW mentioned the crown on the 233 does not stop, however with the power reserve indicator you can tell when the watch is fully wound. Also, the 233 emits a faint clicking sound letting you know that the watch is fully wound as well. I would assume that this is standard on the P2002 movement and that the 339 will have the same faint click letting the owner know that the watch is fully wound. I personally love the sound of winding all of my my watches and hold my 233 up to my ear and wait for the click to let me know that the watch is fully wound rather than looking at the PR indicator.

I just I figured I should check one more for the mix.

And the results.

With my turns i was just over 160 for the big Pilot.  So it would appear that the 233 and the Big Pilot are pretty close in comparison to the JLC.

I think it'll be less than 100 turns for me (my turns are full turns) but we'll see in a week.

I bought my first PAM two weeks ago: a Radiomir 8 Days Power Reserve, aka PAM268.
This PAM has a P2002/3 manufacture caliber. Mine is numbered 226/400, L serie.
My watch needs between 80 and 100 turns to be fully wound.
So I'm far from previous results (about 200 turns).

To have accurate results between models, this test should be processed by the same person.

I suppose you made FULL turns to wind your 268.

Maybe some made half turn and then count 2 times more as it is easier to wind the calibre on a Radiomir than a Luminor due to the crown protection.
