I'm quite amazed by PAM's big and reflective glass, a great chance to take some really funky reflection shots off it,

I took this last week in China





and these when I received my long awaited camera...







pretty cool eh? I know now I have more avenue of fun with my pam. My creativity was greatly stifled during my Datograph days hahahah.

do share your reflection shots if you had similar experience...

M9 is for street and potraiture photography, a DSLR with a macro lens or a P&S camera (a brilliant and natural macro recording device) is still your best bet to photograph your watches.

Just me...

regarding other aspects of M9, after all, its newly arrived, a pure virgin, needs a few hours to put it to test in the street before I can give you my honest opinion.



but having used the M cameras for years, I'm instantly at home with it.

I'm really fussy about quality of digital pictures but I can only say good things about this camera, or rather the fine glasses on it?



all shots heavily cropped and details are there!



it's an ideal photograhic gear, I'm bringing it places like my pam! My favourite cam with my favourite wedges!



and over a fine round with my 'most fierce competing golfer friend"...

hi Mech, as you may know, supposed i will be in London for these 2 weeks, but due to volcanoic ash in Iceland, i have postponed my trip possibly end May or early June, but nothing has firmed out yet.

friends in London, like Graham, Moc, Andy etc will still go for GTG among themselves this Friday evening.

once i firmed up my rescheduled dates, will talk them again for another GTG. hope you will be able to join us there too.

great watch, great shots and a great leica mech,

im interested in getting an m9 myself but im still curious on what superiority it actually has
over its nikon or canon counterparts, apart from its tiny body.

also, what are the lenses to get mech? as to substitute my normally used lenses
(16-35mm, 50mm , and 70-200mm)

for many years with M3/4/6/P so settling on the m9 is a natural progression for me for my type of photography ie street and people. I guess it's just like watch collecting, alot of decisions are subjective, you must know what you want and like. M9 being a RF has its pros for the stated type of photography, but definitely a no no for macro and sports. Simply put it, it's a tool that is so inconspicuous for its size, design and almost silent shutter, capturing your subject in their most natural form becomes more possible. The 2nd considerations would have to be leitz optics, to me it's one of the best for 35mm photography and certain lenses in its line exhibit special characters that is second to none. In the end, why m9, well it's the first full frame digital RF from a reputable brand. I will not say m9 results will replace that of those film based M cameras, but it's the best 'compromise' for an enhanced workflow. So the key is Full Frame, with it, now it's possible to regain/retain those original characteristics of the leitz glasses rather than subjecting them to those 'cruel crop factor!"

I hope I didn't dwell too much into this and bore the rest? I apologise hahaha. Just that photography and horological share many similarities! one of which is passion and I speak passionately on both subjects hahahah
