Officine Panerai

For some here who know me a tad better, I've had (and still have) my reasons for not being a PAM fan... but finally, at the coersion of my 9 year old second son (and the constant "you have to add a PAM to your collection" badgering by a certain member here who I think prefers to remain annonymous so I leave him to identify himself if he so wishes ) for whom this should be going to.. if he doesn't flip between the 233, 311 and this... I just got my first and only PAM (I think)... The 326..

Pics are from my phone cam so do excuse it. the blue is much lighter and brighter in the pic than it actually is... Its on my wrist now as I type and I must say.. grudgingly... it looks great the blue dial annd Ti case.. the blue strap seems to have a slight gloss to it which I don;t quite like(wonder how an electric blue python strap will look with this LOL) and the deployant is nice as well.  The case looks rather well constructed at 12.32 in the AM and its interesting that I can;t seem to hear the ticking which I'm not sure if its becuase the case is so well insulated or that the Valjoux 7753 (I think its the 7753?) based OP XII calibre is so quiet.

let me look at my crystal ball.....there seems to be signs that the watch was kept in the boot of a car for several hours? it is numbered between 90-100 of 500? you collected the watch in some restaurant, or its vicinity? there were several doctors and a certain renowned property developer in the restaurant? you were in t-shirt and shorts when u collected the watch? i see something that have a connection to Steven Gerard/Liverpool at the restaurant? you drove a red car to pick up the watch? there were talk about some Ulysse Nardin dinner?  i am exhausted, typical from reading the crystal ball.

But so far I have succesfully refrained frm getting another watch from a brand I already have (just a funny thing about me at this point in time and I do like diversity in my small collection.

The hunt is finally over........or should I say the first hunt?

Blue is a very special color (I love this color very much btw) and the ti case will make you wear the watch very comfortably.

I alwalys liked the mix Panerai does between Ti and blue color. Yours looks fantastic.

I really miss my PAM 93, it was a very special watch.

by the way, i remember when started to look for watches, Panerari was under my hunting radar, but somehow it is just too big for my small wrist.

so now you can take on this size? would like to hear from you more after owning this big watch?

I guess my perspective on size as with my taste has changed much since 2 years ago.  Here's the deal for me with biggish watches... the lugs and how the strap attaches are important.  I don;t like too much "over hang" of the lugs and strap over the edge of my small wrist.  The case itself being big is not the issue (any more at least) and I think this Panny sits ok on the wrist... The Radiomir however being jjst 1mm bigger.. "seems" to not sit as well?  IN anycase, I much prefer the look of the limunor case.

Arthur, you are quite right, actually i am also aware my taste has been changing since the day one to this watch hobby. initially i also quite dislike those watches with huge size, but after some while, and especially after i got my Omega Speedmaster and Longines Legend Diver watches, taste and mindset have been changing since then. now i am willing to try and take on watches with bigger size. of course i don't think i am brave enough to try those sizes with diameter greater than 42mm...

i saw wristshot for your new panerai which looks quite handsome on your wrist. i also like the blue color dial, it looks like my JLC Memovox!

I'm still not exactly thrilled my PAM... but I let me son try it on and he gave a rewarding enough smile... (arghh..... he likes PAMs.. LOL)
