Officine Panerai

I'm a Rad lover and already have a Pam 98 and a 232.

Having seen the pictures of the 338, I think it will be my next watch. The problem is, I must let go either the 98 or the 232 to finance the 338. I love them both. While I don't need to say much about the significance of the 232, the 98 is also a special piece (although I suspect it is not that popular among true paneristi). They both look great on my thin wrist.

Would you please give my some advice?

 

if the PAM98 has sentimental value or if you use the GMT Alarm complication occassionally.  Otherwise, I'd sell the PAM98 since it's another 42mm Radiomir since I like to mix it up and still have a 47mm Radiomir instead of another 42mm Radiomir (PAM338).

I think it would be redundant having two 42mm cases, especially since it's a niche size for Panerai to begin with.   I am also not a big fan of the 98's movement.  If I wanted a gmt alarm I think there are nicer movements out there, albeit at a higher price points. 

since the Pam 338 is also a 42mm Rad. This way, like what the others have said. You can mix it up with having a 42mm and 47mm Rad in your stable. Plus the 232 is pure Panerai DNA.

... I would sell the 98 to finance the 338.
That way you have one 47 mm and one 42 mm Radiomir. Nice pair! Both have very "less is more" type of dial.
One filled with historic DNA, impressive presence and one modern, comfortable giving you good variation.
Besides I have always prefered manual winding.

the 232 is a "quintessential" Radiomir, the 47mm giving it a prestige you wouldn't want to sell away....I think.

maybe you could think about this: 232-easy simple dial with very tough caliber and 98-busy dial with exquisite caliber. No matter what you gonna take as your next target, which side you wanna put it in? To make your collection stay in one style or what?
