Hello Everyone,
I am very new here. I've been lurking around here and other forums for a while trying to learn as much as I can. I have to say that starting out looking at watches I was attracted towards Brietlings more than anything, but somehow I came across a Panerai and it was love at first sight.
I went to the local dealer and tried a few of them on and they were simlpy awesome. I can't really tell why, because I am usually attracted to Chronographs and other complications so I was surprised that I liked watches as "simple" as these Panerais.
Anyway, I am now looking to get my first Panerai, but I am not sure which one I should get and I was hoping you could help me out with your thoughts. My absolute ideal watch would be PAM 308 but with automatic winding. I think I like the 312 and 320 the most. The reason is that they don't have the magnifying piece over the date and they look great. However, I am not sure what Paneristis think of them. Given you guys have a lot deeper knowledge and history with Panerai do you consider these good watches that won't drop in value by 50% in 3 years because no one liked them anymore? Do you have any pros/cons about them? And finally, what would you recommend?
Thanks!
George
It's what you like in a watch - chronograph & automatic winding too. And it has a similar look to the PAM308 Regatta you like.
Great minds think alike! When interested, the first thing about your watch is that it must be a piece for you (about you). Only you can appreciate it, and only you can establish its value. If you are influenced by what people want and do not want, or people’s value and people appreciations, chances are you will never enjoy what is truly for you.
If it is about value, the choice is simple,
within the brand there are pieces that have established and growing values (although
it is subjective), purchasing one of those pieces may give you 'security', but
what about what’s you?
food for thoughts... ;-)

created for Dubail (place vendôme, Paris) . It should be a Special Dubail edition in 75 ex and will look like a 332 with smooth black dial and white hands.
The hunt is a great pleasure.
Enjoy your search period -
