I was lucky enough to get the chance to try on the new 372 at a Panerai event in London. It really is a stunning piece. As it happens it was on the wrist of one of the Panerai team, talk about perks of the job!  Also met for the first time with Imran, he had just picked up his 203/A. Nice to meet you Imran.

 

Truly stunning!  I guess what seems to make it better than the 217/127 is the volume of the watch..

I sometimes think that my 217 is too thin for a 47mm watch... And on this one, I can see improvement on the thickness..

A superb watch..

How I wish to be able to get one!

...all Ive heard about the case design ( see Amanico´s superb analysis of this piece) makes me think 372 has to be thinner....not thicker.

I will have the chance to see this in the flesh in few days, so I will let you know.

But looking at the picture, it seems thicker... But I might be wrong...

So please do let me know Nacho..

Yeah I agree with other's suggestion of longer hands.  I think both hour and minute hands need to be longer.

And btw, is that the stock strap that comes with the PAM372?  If so, it matches perfectly with the vintage look of the PAM372.  I like that slight shiny look to the leather in your pictures.  Will definitely have to see in person to confirm my opinion though.

not pam 372... the hour hand as been said by friends on here should be a bit longer ... the strap looks like an intersting subject to me ill wait for more live shots...

 This year so far im having continuest thoughts about the deep sea alarm and pam 372...

The strap does look very nice. Heard they hand picked the leather for the strap of the 372.

I also agree with the hands.

When I see your pics, I remember what I was hoping when viewing it in Geneva.

Please Panerai, do make the hands a bit longer.

Except this small detail, a superb release.
