Officine Panerai

Hello all, I had the opportunity to take pictures of the PAM322 of a friend last weekend. It's a beautiful watch. The 322 is a 2008 special edition of only 50 units. It has a Minerva based movement and a brown dial (although this doesn't really show in my pictures). Panerai also introduced the 309 at the same time and these two watches share the millesimation of 150 pieces (combined). The 309 has a black dial and there are 100 pieces but other than that both watches are the same.

I love that movement, I have real weakness for swan neck,

but its that gold inner ring...I don't know, for me it kills the whole watch.

But thats just me,

how about that movment in a 2533 s/s edition!

It's funny, I've always thought that the pink gold ring was such a nice touch and for you it kills it. BTW it's a design element that was inspired on one of the vintage Panerai watches but I can't remember which one it was. Thanks for your kind reply, that's much appreciated.

than 309 ... sadly they made it in 50 pieces only... such a remarkable watch... and a seductive strap by the way .

I think it's one of the most beautiful Radiomirs out there. It probably just looks like it's more or less forgotten because there are only so few - so there simply aren't that many people to post about it on the fora. The same is true for a lot of other sought after limited watches. Like you, I'd personally prefer the 322 above the 309 because that very subtle brown color of the dial works so well with the pink gold ring and the gold hands. And thanks for the kind reply!

Thanks again for these awesome shots.

I was fortunate to try on one, belonging to a friend earlier.

I love the case size and thickness. I believe the thickness of the case is to accommodate the beautiful Minerva movement. The brushed titanium case and polished bezel combination is my personal favourite, which goes well with the brown dial and gold outer ring, imho.

The strap actually does complement the pink gold ring quite well.   Certainly a combination I need to try on mine....  Definitely one of the best Radiomir out there..

I gulp. I just love the brown dial (which I agree with you, didn't really "come off" in your pics). Any chance you get it back and with a little light adjustments, get the....brown?? I'm asking that because the quality of your pictures and the composition are, IMHO, very....VERY good...

...there might be another opportunity some time. I need to figure out how to capture the brown dial better some time, I think with flash photography it's going to be tough though.
