Another impressive review Ping!  I really like reading your posts, it provides a very in-depth and well thought out review of the PAM 337.   I thinks this watch is very versatile and can be either a woman's casual watch or a man's dress watch.  If you had a choice would you prefer the SS or the PG version?  And would you think if Panerai added a little bit of bling, maybe using a few diamonds as hour indicators, would it be more attractive to women?

It is a versatile watch. It really is still more of a man's watch suitable for a woman to wear. Now adding diamonds would add a whole other dimension. I remember years ago Panerai did have some diamond encrusted LE models. i haven't seen any in a while though. I think diamonds always helps with the appeal that watches have to women. I definitely wouldn't overdo it though. Maybe some on the bezel or case but not the dial. I saw a Luminor that had diamond baguettes for the baton hour markers and I thought it looked funny. I think there are services that offer to custom encrust your Panerai with diamonds. Although the PG version does look quite nice, I think I would go with either the 337 or 338 titanium to get that classic Panerai look.

...and it depends on the look that one's going for.  The stainless is nice and a little dressier because of the polished case.  However, it may be a pain to keep blemish free.  The pink gold is a more conservative to me.  The titanium is probably the most desireable because of the case material and gold hands, sporty but classy with the touch of gold.  Thanks for the feedback Alex.

Thank you for the review of the 337.  I especially enjoyed the contrast to the larger 47MM PAM 021.  It's ironic that although they are so many sizes apart, there is still so much in common between the two. 

This is truly a watch that can be worn elegantly and yet fully retains the unique Panerai style.  I would applaud the woman (and man) who would wear this watch in full confidence.  And there is almost nothing more romantic than a woman who participates in the masculine endavours of watch appreciation. 

I like how you describe the endeavors as "romantic" as opposed to stealing some of your glory, lol.  Thank you for your eloquent comments Patrick as always.

but I am ! Could very well be my first Panny in a lo-o-ong time. I am on the wait list for the 338.
